Welcome to Zinio!

Zinio is a new service offered by the St. Tammany Parish Library that allows you to download digital copies of your favorite magazines. We offer more than 100 magazine titles that you can download and keep for free.

Getting Started with Zinio

  • Visit the St. Tammany Parish Library Zinio Page

  • Click on “Create Account.” Enter your 14-digit library card number (numbers only, no spaces). Click “Validate.”

  • Enter your email address and a password. (To keep your email account secure, don’t use the same password that you use to log in to your email account.) Then click “Create Account.”

  • The screen will display the message: “Successful!  Email has been sent to you.”

  • Check your email account for a confirmation email from the St. Tammany Parish Library. Open the email and click on the second link.

  • Your screen will show a confirmation message.  Click on “Return to Log in.”

  • Log into your activated library account, using the same email address and password as before.

  • To complete the registration process you will need to add a magazine to your Zinio reader list.  Browse through the library’s collection to find a magazine that interests you.  Click on the image of the magazine cover.  You will be taken to the zinio.com website in a new tab.

  • Create a zinio.com account so you can read the magazine you’ve chosen. Use the same email and password you used for your library account so that the accounts can “talk” to each other.

  • To read the magazine online, click on the cover.

  • To download a magazine for offline reading, you’ll need to download and install the Zinio app. Links for downloading the Zinio app are at the bottom of the St. Tammany Parish Library Zinio Page. Click on the link for your computer or mobile device.  (Please note:  If you have a Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD, you will need to alter the settings on your device temporarily, so you can allow non-Amazon content to be downloaded to your device.  Once you have downloaded and installed the Zinio app, remember to return your Kindle’s settings back to the original default. )

  • To see newly added magazines, you may need to sync your mobile device. (Syncing may involve turning the device off and on). When you open the Zinio app, newly added magazines will appear as a thumbnail of the cover with a downward-pointing arrow to the right. Click on the arrow, and the magazine will download and open.
