Computer and Internet Classes for Beginners

Did you know that St.Tammany Parish Library provides free computer and Internet classes? That's right! The library provides classes designed for the computer novice that cover a wide range of basic computer and Internet skills. You can learn how to use a mouse, surf the Internet, or find credible websites at the library. Come join us as we explore the various functions and uses of the computer.

Classes are free and open to the public. Seating space is limited to adults. Registration is required. To get started, register below:

Introduction to Computers

Do you need to learn how to use a computer? Reference Librarians will help you get familiar with terminology, teach you how to use a mouse, and show you basic computer functions.

For computer users who know the basics (using a mouse, manipulation of windows, typing on a keyboard, and getting to the Internet) and want to learn how to use email.

Do you want to learn how to surf the Internet? Do you have questions about how to determine whether a website is credible? Join us as we examine different websites and their functions. Learn how to safely navigate the web, type in a web address, and search using keywords.
