Keep Learning With Online Classes From Your Library

If you’re sheltering in place and looking for something to do, why not take a class online? The library has several options just for you!

  • DigitalLearn.Org — If you would like to brush up on your basic computer skills, then DigitalLearn.Org is a great option. Courses include introductory computer classes as well as an introductory Skype course, a Microsoft Excel course for creating basic budgets, an introductory Facebook class, and a basic course on using mobile devices.
  • Pronunciator — Do you want to learn a language? Pronunciator gives you access to over 80 languages and includes quick study courses, materials for kids, quizzes, foreign language music and videos, and conversation practice for select courses. It also contains English as a second language course materials for New Americans.
  • Gale Courses — Offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses that you can take entirely online. Classes include topics from how to write a novel to how to play an instrument or even start a business. For those looking to update their professional skills, there are classes for healthcare professionals, sales and marketing specialist, computer programmers, and more. The classes last for six weeks. Our next set of classes will begin April 15th, but feel free to enroll now!
  • Learning Express Library — Want to learn graphic design? Need to pass the GRE? Looking to update your skills to start a new career? Then Learning Express Library may be right for you. This resource contains occupational practice tests, basic to intermediate computer courses, classes on software tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, resume writing for job seekers, and more.
