Trevor Collings of Holden, LA, was selected as Library Director in a unanimous decision by the Library Board of Control during the Jan. 21 Special Meeting. A resolution was passed to offer the position to Collings, one of four finalists, with a starting annual salary of $120,000.
Collings has accepted the board’s offer and will start in his new role as the St. Tammany Parish Library Director on Feb. 23, which is also this year’s first Regular Library Board of Control meeting.
“I’m grateful for the board’s confidence, and excited to serve the community alongside the dedicated staff of St. Tammany Parish Library,” said Mr. Collings.
Collings is the current Library Director of the Audubon Regional Library, with nearly 15 years of academic, suburban and rural library experience. He also has a master’s degree in both Library and Information Science and English.
“We are pleased to have someone of Mr. Collings’s caliber and experience to join our team. The board and staff look forward to working with him as he leads the library into the future,” said Library Board President Chuck Branton.
