Adult Programming offers a number of guest speakers throughout the year to talk about history, current events, hobbies, and more. Not all events or all parts of a series will be recorded due to staffing limitations, but based on patrons' feedback, this project may be expanded.
Dr. Bruce Craft
Dr. Bruce Craft of Southeastern Louisiana has provided discussions on the rich history of diverse cultural groups of Louisiana and southern states in the past. His most recent lecture series is focused on nearly forgotten giants of the Louisiana literary canon and analyzes why their work is still critically important.
His lecture series on Forgotten Giants of the Louisiana Literary Canon started on March 24th, 2026 and will continue with 3 more events.
