Wonderbooks are a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids can just press play to read or sing along with their favorite books. Then switch to Learning Mode for literacy learning and comprehension questions to check your young reader’s understanding of the story.

Every Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids can listen out loud, or plug in headphones.

Click the green button to turn the audio device on, and then the orange button to press play.

Read-Along Mode

Turn the pages and read along as the audio reads the book out loud.

Research shows that hearing and seeing words at the same time can improve reading success rates.

Wonderbooks give kids an edge with vocabulary development, phonics, and comprehension, plus encourages deeper engagement with every book.

Learning Mode

After reading along, kids can switch the Wonderbook into Learning Mode to keep learning about the book they just read.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wonderbook FAQ

  • While you are in the library you do, but at home you do not. The Wonderbook is easily heard through the speaker in the book.

  • Wonderbooks are not Bluetooth enabled. You must use headphones or earbuds with an aux cord. The Library will provide free earbuds at the Circulation Desk if you do not have your own.

  • A micro USB cord will charge Android or iOS devices. Plug it into the port on the bottom of the device. Each Wonderbook charges completely in 1 hour and averages 16 - 20 hours of play once fully charged.

  • A solid green light on the bottom of the device means Wonderbook is charged and ready to play. A flashing red light signals a low battery and less than 1 hour of playtime left.

  • Yes, you can! However, you must use headphones or earbuds. You may obtain a pair for free at the circulation desk for use in Library only.
