Musical Memoirs: Biographies About Your Favorite Musicians

This summer, the St. Tammany Parish Library is celebrating music past and present with our Summer Reading Challenge theme, Libraries Rock!

The St. Tammany Parish Library has a plethora of items for checkout on a variety of topics, including music! Today, we are highlighting some of our biographies. Each library branch has a collection of biographies, and many of them are about your favorite musicians and rock legends! Here are a few favorites that come highly recommended:

Lennon

This work gives a look at music legend John Lennon, the ups and downs of his life, and seeks to dispel some common misconceptions about the man and his life.

 

Michael

Michael analyzes three decades of Michael Jackson's life, mainly from the perspective of articles by Rolling Stone Magazine and the making of his albums.

A biography on The Rolling Stones' lead guitarist, Keith Richards, and the many high and low points of his life.
