Community Input
The St. Tammany Parish Library is planning a Maker Space at the Madisonville Branch in the fall of 2024/early 2025 and we need the public's input on what kind of equipment our patrons would like to use in the space.
A Maker Space is a collaborative work space for adults and older teens for making, creating, learning, exploring and sharing. The Library recently went through Strategic Planning.
One of the goals that came out of that process was for the St. Tammany Parish Library to serve as a platform for creativity, innovation and community interaction.
In surveys and focus groups, we heard over and over that the community wanted Maker Spaces in our libraries.
Our Madisonville Branch has the perfect room for us to pilot the first Maker Space in St. Tammany Parish. We would love your input and help in achieving our goal.
