Donate Food, Erase Your Fines at the St. Tammany Parish Library

COVINGTON - September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. The theme this year is Let Your Imagination Sing at the Library. St. Tammany Parish Library (STPL) invites all future patrons to one of our 12 branch locations, to become a part of our Library family. A library card gives patrons access to over 700,000 physical items, countless digital items, the Online Library resources and databases, and all the programming STPL has to offer.  All St. Tammany Parish residents, ages five and older, are eligible to get a Library card. Visit one of the 12 STPL branch locations or fill out the application online at this link: www.sttammanylibrary.org/library-card-request .

In conjunction with National Library Card Sign-up Month, STPL will partner with the Samaritan Center, First Baptist Church of Slidell Food Pantry, the Northshore Food Bank, and the Bush Food Pantry, for Food for Fines. Each nonperishable food item donated will be worth $1 of fine forgiveness. To donate, visit one of our 12 STPL branch locations throughout the month of September during operating hours, and bring non-perishable items. It’s that simple.
