Huntington Learning Center to Educate Parents & Teens

The library and the Huntington Learning Center have partnered to present a series of three workshops so that parents and students can create a successful spring semester: 

  • Road to a Good Report Card: Back to SchoolThis workshop will focus on getting students in grades 5-12 on track to kick off the new year at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 at the Madisonville Branch. Parents will learn 12 tips to help get their child off to a great start this semester with the proper tools for success.
  • ADHD: A Parent's Survival Guide -   This workshop is designed to empower parents to help their struggling child in grades 5-12 do better in school by showing how to structure children's time and environment to improve homework performance  at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 13, at the Causeway Branch
  • Exam Prep Workshop -  This 30-minute workshop for college-bound students and their parents focuses on factors that influence college admission most in addition to offering tips on preparing for college entrance exams and strategies for improving test scores at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, at the Covington Branch, 310 W. 21st Ave. 

These workshops are free and open to the public.  Online registration is required by clicking on the workshop title.
