AmericanAncestors.org provides access to billions of records spanning the United States, the British Isles, continental Europe, and beyond, including one of the most extensive online collections of early American genealogical records, the largest searchable collection of published genealogical research journals and magazines, and the only online source for records from Boston's Catholic Archdiocese.
AmericanAncestors.org also has the 10 million name project, a collaborative project dedicated to recovering the names of the estimated 10 million men, women, and children of African descent who were enslaved in pre- and post-colonial America (specifically, the territory that would become the United States) between the 1500s and 1865.
AmericanAncestors.org also includes an extensive online collection of early American genealogical records and published genealogical research journals and magazines, and the largest collection of U.S Catholic records online. Educational resources are also available to help genealogy hobbyists improve their skills.
