Covington Branch To Temporarily Relocate During Renovation

The Covington Branch will close on Monday, October 8, and will reopen in a temporary branch location at 1200 Business Hwy. 190 at Claiborne Hill between Rouses Market and Papa John’s on Monday, October 15, while the branch at 310 W. 21st Ave. undergoes renovation.

The temporary branch will offer 22 computers for public use, library collections for all ages, large print books, genealogy materials, audiobooks, research materials, movies and wireless printing.

The renovation of the 31 year-old Covington Branch will include HVAC, roof and carpet replacement as well as a bathroom expansion for ADA compliance, automatic door installation, new paint and a furniture refresh.

The renovated Covington Branch is projected to open in the late fall of 2019.
