Thanksgiving Break Fun For Kids & Families!

Are you looking for some fun and free activities during this Thanksgiving Break?  St. Tammany Parish Library has you covered!  The library is offering the following special events for kids and families:

On Monday, November 25, we will host a Storywalk® at the Northlake Nature Center from 12 to 3 p.m.! This month's story is Bird Builds a Nest by Martin Jenkins. The story offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of a bird and lots of opportunities for participation and exploration; so, get ready to get outside and get moving with the whole family! All ages are welcome and no registration is required. The Northlake Nature Center is located at 23135 Hwy 190 East, Mandeville.

On Tuesday, November 26, the Slidell Branch will hold a Tween Movie Matinee featuring Disney's new live-action Aladdin from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. The event is open to 10 to 14 year olds and registration is required. Popcorn, candy and lemonade will be served. Please inform the library of any food allergies at least one week in advance. We are happy to make accommodations for you.  Please call the branch at (985) 646-6470 with any questions. 

On Tuesday, November 26th the Madisonville Branch will host a Family Movie Matinee Featuring Toy Story 4 from 3 to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome and no registration is required. Lemonade and popcorn will be served. Please inform the library of any food allergies at least one week in advance. We are happy to make accommodations for you. Please call the branch at (985) 845-4819 with any questions. 

Children ages 9 and younger may not be left unattended at any branch of St. Tammany Parish Library.
