We’re Celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month with Food for Fines!

Offered at all 12 Library Branches

The St. Tammany Parish Library will once again join public libraries across the country to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September. The month serves a reminder that the most important school supply is a library card and that libraries offer the tools that children need to succeed like computers, digital tools, the Internet and trained professionals who are always ready to help.

To celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month and help the hungry in our community, the library will collect Food for Fines all month long. Each non-perishable food item donated will be worth $1 in fine forgiveness. All food will be given to our partner food banks: Northshore Food Bank in Covington, Samaritan Center Food Bank in Mandeville and the First Baptist Church of Slidell Food Bank.
