Workforce Wednesday: Over 50 and Out of Work?

Are you over 50? Want to leave retirement and rejoin the workforce? Need help making your experience and expertise stand out to an employer? Then join the St. Tammany Parish Library for a special Workforce Wednesday!

Guest speakers, Gretchen McKinney and Amanda Kerlee, will share insider tips on how to get a job offer. They’ll discuss the employer’s perspective on hiring workers over 50 and tips on how you can make your job hunt successful at any age. The event will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at the Causeway Branch Library.

Gretchen McKinney is a former civil service leader with 20+ years of experience in human resources. She is the founder of incHRement, a human resources agency that coaches and encourages hiring executives to be purposeful in decision making and trains employees to be more responsive to business needs.

Amanda Kerlee is a career specialist of the Tri Parish Works Business and Career Solutions Centers which focuses on helping job seekers find careers and assists businesses with their employment process in the St. Tammany, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes.
