Get your Brain Grooving with Music Inspired Programs

by Noelle Williams, Reference Coordinator

Our music inspired summer reading challenge is well underway, but there’s still plenty of time to catch the beat! In the month of July, reference librarians at the Mandeville and Slidell branches will be hosting music inspired programs meant to teach you more about music, what it does for the brain and how you can incorporate it more into your life. Interested? You can register on our events calendar for any of the following programs:

Mandeville Branch Library

Tech Talk: Music Edition

Tuesday, July 24th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Slidell Branch Library

Neurobics: Music and Memory

Saturday, July 7th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Neurobics: Music and Movement

Saturday, July 21st from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Looking for other ways to engage your brain? Then sign up to take the Summer Reading Challenge for adults. You can sign up to get a St. Tammany Parish Library kazoo, read books, and complete a BINGO card to win awesome prizes.

Have a great summer!
