Louisiana Paradise Display at the Slidell Branch

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries recently created a traveling library display that will be on view from November 28, 2018 through January 31, 2019 at the Slidell Branch.

The “Paradise Display” highlights the public areas and facilities the department manages as well as threatened and endangered animals of the surrounding area. This informative display consists of maps, a full mount black bear and items related to black bears such as a tracking collar, paw print and replica skull.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Viewing hours follow library hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  More information is  avialable on the Adult Programming page or by calling the Slidell Branch at (985) 646-6470.
